Alison House is situated in the heart of Derbyshire, 4 miles south of Matlock in the village of Cromford. By car:Travelling north on the A6, Intake Lane is on the left, 200 yards before the junction of the A6 and the B5036 to Wirksworth. Ample parking is available. By train:Cromford Station is on the Derby to Matlock branch line, 20 minutes walk from Alison House. On leaving the Station forecourt, bear right following the road over the river until its junction with the A6. Turn left and Intake Lane is 150 yards on the right. By buscoach:Either to Cromford, or first to Matlock and then by bus to Cromford.
